MEET LAURA
Laura McCann has been studying Muscular Therapy since 1999 and has been specializing in Structural Energetic Therapist® since 2006. She graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is Nationally Certified in Massage and Bodywork NCTMB, is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Florida, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts and studied Interspiritual Counseling at One Spirit Alliance in Manhattan, New York.
Along with extensive study and years of experience practicing Muscular Therapy, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage, Laura has also studied Orthopedic Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Assisted Lymphatic Therapy, Polarity, Usui Reiki, Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing, Matrix Energetics, Quantum Touch, The Realization Process, Silva Mind Method, Interspiritual Counseling, Duality Energy Healing, and Mindfulness Meditation.
Laura’s deep commitment to health and healing has lead her through an extensive graduate training program in Structural Energetic Therapy® (SET) which incorporates many body therapies and disciplines. SET integrates Cranial/Structural techniques, Myofascial Release and Restructuring, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Scar Tissue and Adhesion Release, Postural Analysis, Kinesiology Testing (Applied and Functional), Acupressure, Breath Work, and Emotional Energy Release with Breath Work. Laura has also studied with Don McCann the creator of Structural Energetic Therapy as an apprentice since September of 2011.
In addition to being a Certified Structural Energetic Therapist, Laura has completed Structural Energetic Therapy advanced training in Emotional Energy Release Therapy with Breath Work, Cranial/Structural Energetics for energy healing during a session and from a distance, Children’s Cranial/Structural Therapy to work with children ages 7 and older, the Advanced Deep Adductor, Glutes, Abdominals, and TMJ Releases as well the Teacher Assistance Certification.
Laura is on the Structural Energetic Therapy Inc. Board of Directors, is the educational director of Cranial/Structural Energetics, works in the office to promote the expansion of SET, and assists in teaching Structural Energetic Therapy, Cranial/Structural Core Distortion Releases, and Cranial/ Structural Energetics.
Laura maintains a private practice seeing clients at the SET Center in North Tampa, Florida. She enjoys helping her clients heal from acute and chronic pain and improving their athletic performance, fitness training, Aikido, West Coast Swing competitive and social dancing, selling USDA certified organic CBD products, and personal and professional holistic development. Laura’s passion in life is to help people and the planet heal.
